Zachary Cohn

Zachary Cohn has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and mental health field. Zachary worked as a Recovery Coach at Mountainside since February 2021. Prior to that, they served as a Health Home Care Manager at People USA from February 2018 to November 2020. Zachary also held the position of Program Director at Friends of Recovery - NY from October 2017 to January 2018. Zachary's earlier experience includes working as a Mental Health Worker/Mental Health Activities Specialist at Four Winds Hospital from February 2013 to September 2017. In this role, they developed a structured activities program for young adult psychiatric patients, led group activities, and provided individualized coaching to encourage personal growth.

Zachary has further certifications including Collaborative Problem Solving (Tier 1) from Think:Kids at Massachusetts General Hospital in April 2016 and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention from Four Winds Hospital in February 2013. Zachary also holds certifications such as Certified Recovery Peer Advocate and Certified Addiction Recovery Coach obtained from ASAP New York Certification Board in October 2021 and March 2021, respectively. Additional certifications include Mental Health First Aid from the National Council for Behavioral Health in October 2018, Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) from the New York Peer Specialist Certification Board in April 2019, and First Aid/CPR from Greystone Programs Inc in April 2017.
