Matt Burbach has an extensive background in marketing and brand experience within the outdoor industry. Matt has held various roles, including Vice President of Marketing at Mountain Hardwear, where they focused on driving brand strategy and content creation. Matt also served as Marketing Director at both Matt Burbach and Black Diamond Equipment, where they were responsible for creating brand experiences and increasing brand awareness. Prior to that, they held several roles at The North Face, including Senior Manager of Retail Brand Experience in Asia Pacific & China, where they developed and executed locally relevant brand environments. Matt also has experience as an Editor at Urban Climber Magazine and as an Author and Photographer at The Mountaineers Books. Additionally, they served as the Director of the Indoor Climbing School at Earth Treks Climbing Centers.
Matt Burbach attended the University of Maryland from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. In addition, they obtained a certification in Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn in June 2020.
