Andrew Cotten is an experienced educator with a focus on English language arts, currently serving as an Eighth Grade English Teacher at Mountain Brook Junior High since August 2012. Prior to this role, Andrew taught 7th grade ELA at Glen Oaks Institute of Science from August 2010 to May 2012, where involvement in the school leadership team was notable. Andrew's earlier experiences include leadership as Program Board Chair at the University of the South, where event planning was a key responsibility, and an internship at Dualtone Music Group, which involved a variety of administrative tasks. Additionally, Andrew has a background in hands-on work from time spent at Camp McDowell and experience in organizational tasks as an assistant at Average to Art. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, both from The University of the South.
