Dr. Sara Miles Rutledge

Education Department Chairperson at Mount Aloysius College

Dr. Sara Miles Rutledge serves as the Education Department Chairperson and Professor of Education at Mount Aloysius College, with a notable tenure dating back to July 2007, and holds multiple leadership roles including Co-Coordinator of the American Sign Language/English Interpreting Program. Dr. Rutledge is also a member of the Seton Hill University Alumni Advisory Council and the Board of Directors for The Pennsylvania Association of Colleges and Teacher Educators. As the owner of Rutledge Educational Consulting, LLC, and the Founder and Director of the National Pre-Service Teacher Resource Center, Dr. Rutledge demonstrates a strong commitment to educational consulting and teacher preparation. Additional experiences include serving as an Independent Teacher for Outschool and holding various editorial and leadership positions within educational organizations. Dr. Rutledge obtained advanced degrees in Sociology and Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, following an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and Sociology from Seton Hill University.
