Rukmal De Silva is a Senior Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in electrical design and project management across various sectors. Currently employed at Mott MacDonald, Rukmal leads the electrical design for the UQ HaRP Project in coordination with the University of Queensland. Previous roles include senior positions at Peek Estimating and Design, where Rukmal directed electrical teams for projects such as the UQ Avalon Theatre and GPO Hotel, as well as at Cardno and Al Tasnim Enterprises, managing complex electrical systems for significant projects. Rukmal's career encompasses comprehensive involvement in the design lifecycle from conceptualization to construction across multinational projects, complemented by a strong educational background with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Peradeniya.
