Jacques Barnard obtained a National Diploma in Civil Engineering from Port Elizabeth Technikon, where they studied from 1994 to 1997. Jacques then pursued a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Water Engineering from the same institution, completing their studies from 2000 to 2002. In 2017, Jacques obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
