Daniel Balaguera is a Senior Electrical Engineer at Mott MacDonald since May 2023, with extensive experience in renewable energy and electrical engineering. Since September 2008, Daniel has been associated with Independiente as Ingeniero de Diseño y Montaje. Previously, Daniel held the position of Director of Engineering at Desarrollos y Proyectos SAS from March 2021 to May 2023, overseeing the design, construction, and commissioning of solar PV projects. Daniel has also served as a Project Engineer at Technoelite Green Energy focused on large-scale solar PV and distributed generation projects, and held various roles in project engineering and infrastructure direction in prior positions. Education includes a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and an Electrical Engineering degree from Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, complemented by seminars in Smart Grids at Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
