Jade Tong's work experience includes roles as a Software Engineer at MotionHall, where they started in July 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Junior Software Developer at the same company, starting in February 2016 and ending in June 2018. Jade also has experience as a Math/Science/English Facilitator at Xspace/H.EL.P.S from April 2015 to February 2016. Additionally, they worked as an Instructional Assistant Tutor at Vancouver Community College from May 2013 to February 2016 and as a Research Assistant/Technician 2 at The University of British Columbia from February 2013 to November 2014. Jade also has experience as a Cell Culture Technician at the University of Calgary from July 2011 to June 2012. Lastly, they worked as a Research Assistant and Graduate Student at The University of British Columbia from July 2010 to February 2011 and from June 2008 to June 2010, respectively. Jade's earliest work experience was as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at The University of British Columbia from May 2007 to April 2008.

Jade Tong has a diverse education history. In 2004, they enrolled at The University of British Columbia and completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Cell Biology and Genetics in 2008. Following that, they pursued further education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Neuroscience between 2008 and 2010. In 2015, Jade attended CodeCore College for a brief period in order to study Web Application Development. Alongside their academic achievements, Jade also obtained a certification in Standard First Aid - with CPRC - AED from St. John Ambulance in November 2014.
