Julia Lurie is a Senior Reporter at Mother Jones, where since December 2013, coverage has focused on criminal justice, public health, addiction, and child welfare, notably revealing the financial ties between Purdue Pharma and the American Medical Association. In 2021-2022, Julia served as a Nieman Fellow at Harvard University, an esteemed program for journalists. Prior to these roles, Julia worked as an English Teacher for Fulbright Korea from 2012 to 2013. Julia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Yale University, earned in 2011.
