William Kooper has an extensive background in government affairs and industry relations. Currently serving as the Vice President of State Government Affairs and Industry Relations at Mortgage Bankers Association since April 2016. Prior to their current role, William held various positions within the company, starting as the Director of Government Affairs in 2001. Before joining Mortgage Bankers Association, William worked at the Department of Housing and Urban Development as a Special Assistant to Secretary Andrew Cuomo. With a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from Trinity University and a Master's in Public Administration from New York University, their educational background complements their professional experience.
