Mark Tobin has a work history that spans several companies and positions. Mark started their career as a Software Engineer at Eastman Kodak Company in December 1996 and worked there until January 2000. Mark then moved on to Nuance Communications where they worked as a Software Engineer from January 2000 until October 2003. Mark then worked at HMS Eliza as an Application Developer from August 2004 until October 2006. Mark joined Monotype in January 2006, where they served as a Senior Software Engineer until December 2010. Mark then became a Principal Software Engineer at Monotype from January 2011 to January 2014. Mark returned to Monotype as a Lead Software Engineer in January 2017 and worked there until their most recent position as a Software Engineer at MORSE Corp, which they started in January 2019.

Mark Tobin attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Mark then pursued further education in the same field at Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 1990 to 1993 and earned a Master's degree.
