With nearly two decades of diverse experience spanning pharmaceuticals, nutritionals, agriculture, and industrials, Brett is an accomplished leader in the life sciences space. His expertise covers the full spectrum of product discovery, development, and commercialization. Brett leads Mori’s innovative R&D team, covering Materials, Fresh Foods, Shelf-Stable Foods, Product, and Project Management, with the ambitious goal of bringing Mori’s groundbreaking technology to every aisle of the supermarket.
Before joining Mori, Brett spent 12 years at three companies within the Flagship Pioneering ecosystem. Most notably at Indigo, where he began as the 8th employee. There, he spearheaded the successful launch of the company’s first products (microbial seed treatments for row crops), followed by a dynamic portfolio of products that have been planted across millions of acres in eight countries, generating substantial value for farmers.
Brett earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University in 3 years with 15 peer-reviewed publications. As an undergraduate at Tufts, he spent a year studying silk structure-function properties for tissue engineering applications. A proud Massachusetts native, Brett grew up in Bedford and currently resides in Wellesley with his wife and daughter.
