George Walters has been a Board Member at MoreThanData Inc. since January 2007. Prior to that, they were a Sr. Software Engineer at Draeger Medical from January 2005 to December 2006. There, they were responsible for updating the hospital critical care product from V3 to V4 release. This included updating the SQL database schema for new features, and improving access to data. George also improved performance by rewriting stored procedures, and adding proper indexes. In addition, they modified ASP pages for new version functionality. George also has experience as a Database Administrator from April 2004 to October 2005 at Iron Mountain. There, they were the database representative on a cross-collaborative team for email archiving system. George's responsibilities included reporting services for SQL 2000 implementation, configuring EMC Clariion storage arrays for SQL servers, managing 800 million row tables across 40 sql servers, optimizing SQL queries, and recommending and documenting best practices for SQL database maintenance. George also created automated index maintenance scripts and developed an off-line SQL backup testing process that included automated DBCC checks for production databases. In addition, they created an Active Directory domain for testing and assisted with migrating from NT4 domain to 2003 AD domain.
