Nien-Chen (Jeff) Weng is an Associate Scientist at Moonwalk Biosciences since October 2022, with prior experience as an Associate Development Engineer and Associate Tissue Culture Scientist at Berkeley Lights, Inc. from March 2021 to July 2022, and as a Research Associate I at Hengenix Biotech, Inc. from August 2020 to March 2021. Expertise includes cell line development for recombinant protein expression, particularly with CHO cell culturing across various production stages. Nien-Chen gained valuable experience as a Summer Intern at the Benet Lab at the University of California, San Francisco in 2018, focusing on metabolic enzymes, transporters, and blood-brain barrier penetration predictions. Additionally, Nien-Chen served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Zengler Lab at UC San Diego, engaging in dynamic modeling of Candidatus Liberibacter Asiaticus. Nien-Chen holds a Master of Engineering in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering with a Chemistry Minor from UC San Diego.
