Kole Roybal is an accomplished professional in the fields of microbiology and immunology, currently serving as UCSF Director at the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy since September 2023 and as an Associate Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of California, San Francisco since June 2021. As a co-founder of ArsenalBio and Moonlight Bio, both established in October 2019 and March 2023 respectively, Kole Roybal contributes significant expertise to the development of innovative biotherapeutics. Additional roles include being an advisor for Venrock since September 2020 and serving as a Founding Scientist at Cell Design Labs from September 2015 to December 2017, a biotherapeutics company acquired by Gilead. Earlier academic accomplishments include a Jane Coffin Childs Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco from March 2013 to December 2016 and a Doctor of Philosophy in Immunology from UT Southwestern Medical Center, where studies took place from 2006 to 2012. An early educational foundation was laid with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Austin College.
