Jeff McHugh

Data Systems and IT Chief at Monument Academy Public Charter School

Jeff McHugh has a range of work experience in the education sector. Jeff started their career as a Marketing Assistant at Northwestern University School of Continuing Studies from September 2006 to May 2008. Jeff then transitioned to become a Teacher at the NYC Department of Education, where they worked from August 2008 to August 2014. In 2015, Jeff worked as a Graduate School Fellow at Education Pioneers, Office of the State Superintendent of Education. During this time, they collaborated with the Specialized Education Data Team to develop communication processes, craft policy papers, and generate more accurate data on students with disabilities. Since 2016, Jeff has been involved with Monument Academy Public Charter School, first as the Director of School Systems from July 2016 to July 2018, then as the Director of Data, Systems, and IT from July 2018 to June 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Data Systems and IT Chief at Monument Academy Public Charter School, starting in July 2022.

Jeff McHugh has a diverse educational background. Jeff attended Northwestern University from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree, majoring in English and Economics. Following that, from 2008 to 2011, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Secondary Education with a focus on Mathematics at The City College of New York. Lastly, from 2014 to 2016, Jeff attended Yale School of Management and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. No specific field of study was mentioned for their MBA.
