Shannon Boswell has extensive work experience in the field of education, with a focus on career, technical, and adult education as well as agricultural education. Shannon worked at the Montana Office of Public Instruction from 2017 to the present, initially as an Agricultural Education Specialist, then as a CTAE Transition Specialist, and currently holds the position of Director of Career, Technical, and Adult Education. Prior to that, Shannon worked at Doddridge County High School from 2005 to 2017 as an Agricultural Education Instructor, where they provided agricultural curriculum to students, advocated for agricultural education, and promoted the local program. Before that, they worked at Summers County Board of Education from 2004 to 2005 as an Agricultural Education Instructor, where they created a new agricultural program at the high school, chartered the FFA Chapter, and planned and constructed a greenhouse.
Shannon Boswell holds a Master's degree in Agriculture, General from West Virginia University, which was obtained from 2003 to 2011. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Agricultural and Extension Education Services from the same university, completing their studies from 1998 to 2002. Shannon also obtained teaching licenses in 5-Adult Agricultural Education from the Montana Office of Public Instruction in June 2022 and from the West Virginia Department of Education in 2011.
