Jono’s garage is full of outdoor toys – mountain bikes, backcountry skis, rafts, climbing ropes, worn out hiking boots. How better to sample some of MCC’s corps members finest trail creations than to get out and enjoy them – and all the rest that Montana’s wild lands have to offer. Jono started with MCC in 2002 inspired by their special sauce of service, leadership development, and outdoor stewardship. Prior to MCC, he was a teacher, instructor with NOLS for 10 years, and director of an environmental education program in Alaska. Jono serves on the Corps Council of their national association, The Corps Network; volunteers locally on the board of directors for the Montana Outdoor Science School, and actively engages in public policy with the Public Lands Service Coalition and Montana Nonprofit Association. Jono lives in Bozeman with his wife and kids, Bridger and Erin, who are as tall and lanky just like their mom and dad. He thinks you’ll love MCC too, so come on and join the family!
