Julisa Rincon-Tomizawa is an experienced educator and leader currently serving as the Assistant Director of Pupil Personnel Services and New Teacher Mentor Coordinator at Beacon City School District since November 2017. Julisa has dedicated a significant portion of the career to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within educational environments. Additionally, Julisa has worked since 2009 as a Special Education Instructional Coach at Greenwich Public Schools, collaborating with educators to enhance learning for all students. As an Early Intervention Special Instructor at Paxxon Healthcare Services since 2003, Julisa has focused on supporting families with young children who experience developmental delays. Julisa co-founded The Manitou School, which emphasizes bilingual education and experiential learning, and has held various roles, including Special Education Teacher and Instructional Data Coach at NYC Department of Education from 2003 to 2009. Julisa holds multiple degrees, including an Ed. M. in School Leadership from Bank Street College of Education and an MS in Urban Multicultural Education-Special Education from College of Mount Saint Vincent.
