Joe Verkennes is currently the Director of Marketing & Communications at Monroe County Community College. Joe has a long and impressive history in marketing and communications. Joe started their career as a marketing coordinator and writer at Hart Associates. Joe then moved on to The University of Toledo where they became the Coordinator of Recruitment Publications. After a few years, Joe moved to Northwest State Community College where they took on the role of Adjunct Faculty, Business Writing. Most recently, before taking their current position, Joe worked at Monroe County Community College.

Joe Verkennes has a Master of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Bowling Green State University, a Bachelor of Arts in Communication/Journalism from The University of Toledo, and a Diploma in College Prep from St. Francis de Sales School - Toledo, OH.

They work with James A. Ross - Director of Data Processing Services, Kimberly Lindquist - Dean of Health Sciences, and Parmeshwar Coomar - Dean of Applied Science & Engineering Technology Division. Their manager is Kojo A. Quartey, President.
