Joanne Button Chase is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in commercial law, currently serving as the Head of Commercial Law and Deputy Monitoring Officer at Monmouthshire County Council since July 2015. Notable achievements include playing a key role in the £21 million acquisition of Newport Leisure Park and the £7 million purchase of Castlegate Business Park. Prior to this, Joanne served as a Community Councillor at Llanbadoc Community Council and held the position of Head of Conveyancing at Hughes Jenkins Solicitors, where significant work included advising a sports personality on property portfolio management. Joanne's career also includes roles at Trevor Griffiths Solicitors, where a landmark successful application for the Presumption of Death was achieved, and earlier experience in conveyancing at Wards Solicitors. Joanne holds a Bachelor of Laws from Aberystwyth University and a Legal Practice Course qualification from UWE Bristol.
