Group IT Director at Monjasa

Michael Østergaard has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Michael currently serves as the Group IT Director at Monjasa, a position they started in March 2020. Prior to that, they worked at RelateIT as a Systems Manager from May 2017 to June 2020, where they led a team in designing and implementing infrastructure solutions. From April 2014 to May 2017, Michael was the IT Infrastructure Architect at Monjasa A/S, responsible for designing and implementing technology to support the company's direction. Michael also worked at Systematic as a Systems Engineer from December 2013 to March 2014, and at KJAER DATA as a Senior Consultant specializing in architecture, virtualization, and application delivery from October 2011 to November 2013. Earlier in their career, Michael was an in-house consultant and held various positions in the Danish Military, including designing and implementing IT systems in the C4I unit and serving as the head of communications for southern Afghanistan during their deployment with ISAF.

Michael Østergaard has a diverse education history. In 2002, they completed their basic sergeant training with a focus on communication at GSU, Fredericia. Michael later attended the Danish Airforce Tactical School in 2006, where they became an Army Tactical LAN administrator. In the same year, they also received training as an Army staff sergeant and obtained the rank of Sergeant First Class. In 2008, they earned an MCITP Certification from Microworld. Following that, they pursued various certifications at Koenig Solutions from 2011 to 2013 while working as a consultant. In 2015, they attended Monjasa Academy for basic management training, specifically in the field of management. Most recently, in 2018 and 2019, they studied at DISPUK and became a consultant specializing in narrative psychology. Additionally, they have obtained numerous certifications, such as VMware Certified Professional 5 - Data Center Virtualization, CCA for Citrix XenApp 6, and various Microsoft certifications in Windows Server and configuring network infrastructure.
