Frank A. Artmont, PhD, PE, is an experienced engineer specializing in structural design and analysis, currently employed at Modjeski and Masters within the National Bridge Group since December 2015. Responsibilities include developing and checking structural design calculations, performing structural analysis for bridge components, and preparing project-related documents. Notable projects include involvement in the analysis of the Chirajara Bridge collapse, forensic investigation of the Delaware River Turnpike Bridge fracture, and structural designs for various bridge replacements and assessments. Previously, Frank worked as a Structural Engineering Research Assistant at Lehigh University, focusing on fatigue crack propagation and structural dynamics, and held engineering internships at the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, contributing to bridge design and inspection efforts. Frank earned a PhD in Structural Engineering as well as a BS in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University.
