Ben Smith is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in signal engineering and project management within the railway industry. Currently serving as Engineering Manager - Signals and Director of Signal Engineering at Modern Railway Systems since September 2019, Ben previously held the position of Senior Project Engineer at Alstom from November 2015 to September 2019, where noteworthy projects included leading the CTA Blueline re-signaling and METRA Franklin Park. Prior to that, Ben was a Senior Project Engineer at GE Transportation, where significant contributions were made to the Amtrak Michigan ITCS project.
