Daniel Kraemer

Thermal and Mechanical Engineer at Modern Electron

Daniel Kraemer has over 15 years of work experience in the engineering field. Daniel began their career in 2002 as a Summer Engineering Intern at Enova Energieanlagen GmbH. In 2003, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at BASF, where they studied the fluid mechanics of fluidized bed reactors and performed drying experiments on a vacuum paddle dryer. In 2005, they were a Summer Process Engineering Intern at BASF, and also a Graduate Research Assistant at ETH Zurich, where they conducted a theoretical study on the aerodynamics of a deformable blimp with fish-like propulsion mechanism. In 2006, they were a Visiting Graduate Research Assistant at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where they studied solar thermoelectric power conversion and design. From 2007 to 2016, they were a Graduate Research Assistant and Research Assistant at MIT, where their research was focused on fundamental energy transport, radiative heat transfer, solar power conversion, and solid-state power conversion based on thermoelectric, photovoltaic, and thermionic effects. In 2016, they became a Thermal and Mechanical Engineer at Modern Electron.

Daniel Kraemer's education history includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2007-2016), a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich (2005-2007), a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich (2003-2005), and a Diplom Ingenieur in Process Engineering from Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences (2000-2003).
