Uran Botobekov is a political analyst currently working at SpecialEurasia since November 2021, with an extensive background in political commentary and analysis as a contributor writer for Modern Diplomacy and The Diplomat, both since 2016. An expert in Political Islam, Botobekov has held various significant roles in Kyrgyzstan's governmental and academic institutions, including Scientific Secretary at the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic and Deputy Director of Organization and Control of Work at the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic.
