Emily Elliott has a diverse and extensive work experience in the fashion industry. Emily started their career in 2007 as an intern at Hurley, where they quickly progressed to become a designer and senior designer. Emily worked on launching four seasons per year, with a focus on sweater knits, wovens, and Hurley's private collection.

In 2010, Emily became the Design Director at Townsen, a contemporary women's collection. Emily played a pivotal role in concept development and grew the collection from a team of one to eight, achieving annual sales of $5 million USD. Townsen sold its products to major US retailers such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdales, Nordstroms, and Neiman Marcus.

Following their success at Townsen, Emily co-founded Piper by Townsen in 2015. Currently, Emily is the Design Director at Modern Citizen since 2018, overseeing the design team and contributing to the brand's creative direction.
