Jim Melas, CPA, is a seasoned tax professional currently serving as Senior Manager, Tax at MNP since May 2023. With extensive experience in tax advisory and compliance, Jim has previously held the role of Senior Tax Manager at Alimentation Couche-Tard from January 2022 to April 2023, and Senior Manager in Taxation Services at MNP from January 2011 to December 2021. Additionally, Jim has a background in accounting through volunteer initiatives and administrative roles in nonprofit organizations, as well as experience as an auditor at WSBG LLP prior to its merger with MNP. Jim's education includes the Chartered Professional Accountant designation, along with specialized courses in corporate reorganizations and tax. Jim holds a B.Comm in Accountancy and Finance from Concordia University.
