Kevin Helmich is an experienced energy executive currently serving as Vice President at MN8 Energy since July 2024. Previously, Helmich held the position of Vice President, Commercial & Risk Management at Onward Energy from November 2021 to July 2024. Helmich's background includes key roles at Amazon Web Services (Principal, Renewables and Energy Procurement), Vineyard Wind (PPA Origination), and Avangrid Renewables (Managing Director, Origination). Notably, Helmich negotiated landmark offshore wind Power Purchase Agreements for 1,604 MW with utilities in Massachusetts and Connecticut. Earlier career experiences include leadership positions at DTE Energy, Dynegy, IBM, and ComEd. Helmich earned an MBA in Finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
