Ellie King, PhD, is an experienced professional in sensory analysis and oenology, currently serving as the US Sensory Director at MMR Research since February 2017, with previous roles as Sensory Associate Director and Research Manager. Ellie has a longstanding affiliation with Food Quality & Preference, Food Chemistry, and the Australian Journal of Grape and Wine Research as a peer-reviewer since January 2010. Prior experience includes serving as Project Leader at Covance and as Sensory & Data Project Leader at The National Food Laboratory. Ellie's academic background includes a PhD in Oenology from the University of Adelaide and a Post-doctoral scholarship at UC Davis, where research involved sensory analyses of wine and the development of profiling methods for volatile compounds. Additional roles at various organizations within the wine industry have further contributed to an extensive expertise in sensory science and research.
