Alex Jones is an experienced professional in machine learning and data engineering, currently serving as the ML Platform Lead at Monzo Bank since February 2024. Alongside this role, Alex hosts the MLOps Community in London, contributing to the local tech community since December 2021. Prior positions include Principal Machine Learning Engineer and Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Virgin Media O2, as well as similar engineering roles at Just Eat Takeaway.com and Revolut. Alex began a career in data engineering at Toumetis and also founded Top Pocket Apps as a software engineer. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computing from the University of Bath and a Bachelor of Technology in Computing from Weston College.
