Howard Hartenstein is an experienced professional in architecture, engineering, and project management, currently serving as the Director of Capital Projects at ML Group Design + Development since November 2021, and as the Vice President of Project Management and Delivery at Smarter Living Homes since March 2019. Prior roles include Senior Design Build Project Manager at Epstein Architecture, Engineering and Construction, and Director of Design at dwelle inc. Howard Hartenstein previously founded Hartenstein Consulting, offering specialized services in sustainable architecture and construction management. With extensive experience at Lend Lease, including roles as Sustainability Manager and Technical Quality Manager, Howard also managed hydrogen fuel cell projects for BP Oil. Early career work involved serving as Vice President at Dahlquist Hartenstein Architects and Senior Architectural Project Manager at McClier Corporation. Howard Hartenstein holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Environmental Studies from Lawrence University.
