Marcus Young is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience in power systems. Currently serving as Managing Principal Consultant at Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. since December 2015, Marcus leads the Electromagnetic Transients (EMT) analysis team, focusing on insulation coordination, short-circuit analysis, circuit breaker rating, and harmonics studies. Prior roles include Principal Consultant, where expertise was applied in modeling and simulation of transmission and distribution systems, as well as power system stability investigations. Previous positions held include Power Systems Engineer/Research Staff at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Senior Project Engineer/Scientist at the Electric Power Research Institute. Marcus holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
