Lucas Carmel is currently an intern in Bridging Innovation at MITRE, starting in June 2024. As the founder and director of Vote for Astra since April 2020, Lucas leads an advisory service aimed at increasing voter participation on college campuses. Previously, Lucas held various roles at MassChallenge from May 2021 to April 2024, including Senior Manager of Partnerships, Manager, and Associate. Additional experience includes positions in operations and sales at Noken, a liaison for the Politics Department at Pomona College, and roles as a field organizer for Delgado for Congress and intern at Trust for Governors Island. Lucas began a career as a ball person for the United States Tennis Association from 2010 to 2015. Lucas earned a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and History from Pomona College in 2019 and graduated from The Dalton School in 2014.
