Austen Suqi is an experienced professional currently serving as an Engineering Instructor at the US Naval Academy, specializing in principles of propulsion. At MITRE, Austen works as a Senior Data Scientist, focusing on data science, AI, and machine learning research and development for government clients. Prior to MITRE, the role of Consultant at Deloitte involved developing AI/ML models and pipelines for DOD clients, with a focus on Natural Language Processing and knowledge graphs. Austen also completed a Fellowship at Deloitte in Robotics and Intelligent Automation, gaining skills in Robotic Process Automations and Chatbots. Previous experience in the US Navy includes serving as a Maritime Assessment Officer and a Nuclear Submarine Officer aboard the USS North Dakota. Austen holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and an Aeronautical Engineering degree from the United States Naval Academy, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Computer and Information Technology at Purdue University.
