Xiaofei Ye has a diverse range of work experience. They began their career as a Research Assistant in Nanoelectronics at the Key Laboratory for the Physics and Chemistry of Nanodevices at Peking University from July 2008 to June 2010. Following this, they joined Stanford University in September 2010, where they held multiple roles. As a Research Assistant in Photo-electrochemistry, they worked from September 2010 to April 2016. During this time, they were also responsible for equipment management for thin film deposition, where they assisted in building the lab, managed a laser ablation system, and developed recipes for thin films.

In 2016, Xiaofei Ye joined KLA as a System Design Engineer and worked there until January 2019. Then, they transitioned to the role of an Engineering Program Manager until September 2021. Their responsibilities at KLA included program management and system design.

Currently, Xiaofei Ye is employed at Mitra Chem, starting in September 2021 as an Engineering Manager. They have recently been promoted to the role of Director, Engineering Infrastructure, commencing from March 2023. The details of their end date for this role have not been provided.

Xiaofei Ye completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Materials Science from Stanford University between 2010 and 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physics from Peking University, where they studied from 2006 to 2010.
