Terrell Simpson

Terrell Simpson has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Terrell started their career in 1994 at Applied Materials as a Production Engineer. Terrell then joined Dell in 1996 as a Manufacturing Engineering team lead, where they focused on improving processes, reducing costs, and increasing production line efficiency.

In 1999, Terrell moved to Lucent Technologies/Agere Systems as a Senior Consultant Technical Staff, where they played a key role in yield management and integration of automation systems into the manufacturing platform. Their primary process area was semiconductor laser chip separation.

In 2003, Terrell joined Dell, Inc. again, this time as a Global Quality Manager. Terrell was responsible for managing quality across a global supply chain that delivered custom cable assemblies and connectors to a leading electronics OEM. Terrell then transitioned to the role of a Global Commodity Manager, overseeing a spend volume of over $800M.

Since 2009, Terrell has been serving as the President and General Manager at Mitas Electronics. Initially, the company focused on providing quick turnaround time on small form factor prototype cable assemblies for US development engineers. Today, Mitas Electronics offers full turnkey services and support throughout the entire product life-cycle, making them the only company capable of manufacturing micro-interconnect cable technology and systems in the US.

Terrell Simpson completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University, graduating in 1992. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education at the Texas McCombs School of Business, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Business, with a focus on the Commercialization of Science & Technology. This degree was completed in 1997.

In addition to their formal education, Terrell also holds a certification as a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) from ASQ, although the specific date of attainment is not provided.
