Engineer Saviour Baldacchino obtained a Diploma in Business Management followed by an Honours Degree in Electrical Engineering specialising in Electronics Technology, Computers and Communications. Throughout his career he undertook continuous professional development in the United States, United Kingdom, France and Malta.
Saviour is currently President of the Malta Chamber of Engineers, a role he occupied for over three years.
He has been in the private engineering practice since 2004. In 2001, he had a key role in the setting up of a new Internet Service Provider, which he led as its CEO until 2004.
Before joining the private sector, he occupied the post of General Manager for Information Systems & Technology at Maltacom plc, where he formed part of top management since 1985.
For over ten years, he was appointed visiting lecturer and examiner at the University of Malta, at the City & Guilds of London Institute and at other educational institutions.
In 2005 he was honoured with the Best ICT Professional Award for lifetime achievement. Hobbies and interests include technology, travelling and music.
