Andre Acevedo, D.M.A., is an experienced music educator and performer specializing in saxophone and jazz. Currently serving as a per course instructor at Missouri State University and an adjunct professor at Missouri Southern State University, Andre teaches saxophone and directs jazz ensembles. Additionally, as a self-employed music instructor, Andre provides private lessons, masterclasses, and clinics, while also adjudicating for various regional and state saxophone and jazz competitions through the Texas Music Educators Association. Past roles include private lesson instruction at multiple high schools, with a focus on jazz saxophone and ensemble coaching. Andre holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Jazz from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a Master of Music in Jazz and Studio Music from the University of Memphis, and a Bachelor of Music in Jazz/Jazz Studies from the University of North Florida.
