Jonathan Ambrose serves as the Associate Vice President for the Student Experience and Dean of Students at Mississippi College since July 2014, after previously holding the role of Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs. In this position, Jonathan provides leadership across multiple areas, including Residence Life, Student Development, and Student Engagement, overseeing various programs and student organizations. Prior to this, Jonathan was the Director of the Student Union at Southeastern Louisiana University from August 2006 to June 2014, where responsibilities included facility oversight, student activities, and serving as a conduct officer. Jonathan's earlier role as Assistant Director of Building Services involved management of custodial services and operations for 52 buildings. Jonathan holds a Ph.D. in Urban Higher Education from Jackson State University, a MA in Criminal Justice/Police Science from the University of Louisiana Monroe, and a BA in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Saint Peters University.
