Steve Wilson is an experienced professional in the recreation and sports management field, currently serving as the District Manager for Recreation & Culture at the City of Mississauga since May 2016. In this role, Steve leads district operations, overseeing a wide range of recreation and heritage facilities and programs, while collaborating with community organizations and industry stakeholders. Prior to this position, Steve held various roles at Canlan Ice Sports, including General Manager and Sales & Marketing Manager, where responsibilities encompassed managing multi-purpose recreation facilities and driving sales and marketing initiatives. Additionally, Steve has experience in youth sports programming and community engagement from a previous position with the Mississauga Ice Dogs of the Ontario Hockey League. Steve holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from McMaster University and further education from Durham College.
