Cristiano Giovando is a seasoned Geospatial Technology Specialist at the World Bank Group, with expertise in coordinating geospatial technology for projects across various regions, including flood risk assessment and post-disaster mapping. Currently serving as a Senior Technical Advisor for the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team, Cristiano leads initiatives like the OpenAerialMap v2 design and the "Missing Million" project, while also managing projects that utilize drone and satellite imagery for humanitarian efforts. As a Geospatial Technology Consultant at KAjO, the focus is on developing global exposure datasets and pan-European mapping. Previous roles include co-founding Terrapan Labs, serving as a GIS Specialist, and contributing to the European Forest Fire Information System at the European Commission's Joint Research Centre.
