Alder Yarrow has been working in the field of user experience since 1999. Alder began their career at Sapient Corporation as the Director of User Experience. In 2003, they became a self-employed User Experience Consultant, providing design leadership to clients such as OfficeMax, The Home Depot, Cisco, and Gymboree. In 2005, they founded and became the CEO of HYDRANT, providing general management oversight and client relationships. In 2014, they were appointed Chief Experience Officer at Cibo, a Brand Experience agency. Alder also became a Strategic Advisor at Delectable that same year. In 2018, they became Executive Client Advisor and Vice President of Experience Design at projekt202. In 2020, they became a Strategic Advisor at Pix. In 2021, they became an Advisor and Business Lead - Partnerships & Fundraising at Miro Health and a Strategic Advisor at Forever Oceans. Alder has also been the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Vinography.Com since 2004, for which they were nominated for a James Beard Award in 2013.
Alder Yarrow attended Stanford University from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained a BA and BFA in Communication/New Media and Photography, respectively. Alder then went on to The Aji Network from 2004 to 2006, where they earned a Certified Business Professional in The Business Professional's Course.
