Reece Whitby has extensive experience in the field of chemistry, currently serving as Commissioning Lead, Scale Lead, and Lead Chemist at Mint Innovation since March 2017. Prior to this role, Reece was a PhD student at Callaghan Innovation from July 2013 to February 2017, focusing on the synthesis of novel photoactive materials for laser micromachining and microfabrication, and also worked part-time as a Research Assistant in the lipids group. Reece began a career as a Synthetic Organic Chemist at Redx Pharma from July 2011 to May 2013, contributing to the development of cardiovascular, influenza, and antibiotic drugs. Reece holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Organic Chemistry & Polymer Chemistry from The University of Auckland and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry from the University of Liverpool.
