Alexandria Ang has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. In 2016, they started as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, where they conducted experiments and presented their findings at scientific symposiums. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a Sales Associate at Madewell. In 2020, they became an NSF REU Intern at Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium, conducting mentored research projects and gaining experience in scientific writing. Alexandria then worked as a Marketing Intern at S'well in 2021. In 2022, they joined Barnes & Noble Education, Inc. as a Bookseller and also worked as an Oregon Sea Grant Summer Scholar Fellow at NOAA. In the same year, they became a Communications Associate and Outreach & Communication Intern at Freshwater Future and a Creative Consultant at Pinterest. In 2023, they became a Next Gen Youth Advisor at NAMI and is currently working as a Social Media Program Manager at Minnesota Historical Society. Throughout their career, Alexandria has gained experience in various roles, including research, sales, marketing, and communications.

Alexandria Ang completed their Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and Creative Writing from Macalester College. Alexandria attended Macalester College from 2018 to 2022. Prior to that, their education history includes attending The Bronx High School of Science, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this period. Additionally, they obtained the Be There Certification from the Born This Way Foundation in November 2022.
