DaVonna L. Rucker, M.A. serves as the Director of the Office of African American Health at the Minnesota Department of Health since February 2024. Prior to this role, DaVonna held the position of RAP Program Manager at YWCA Minneapolis from February 2022 to February 2024 and worked as a Case Manager at NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center from December 2019 to January 2022, where involvement included the Nia program. DaVonna was also a Family Achievement Coach at Northside Achievement Zone (NAZ) from November 2018 to December 2019, and served as the Achievement & Integration Department Coordinator for Robbinsdale Area Schools in Minnesota from August 2014 to November 2018. DaVonna is currently pursuing a Doctor of Human Services degree with a focus on Leadership and Organizational Management at Capella University, while holding a Master of Arts in Psychology in Leadership from Adler Graduate School and a Bachelor of Arts in Family and Consumer Sciences/Human Sciences from Concordia University-St. Paul.
