Leif Nordstrom's work experience includes serving as the Associate Director of Grants Management at Minnesota Community Care, where they apply for and manages federal, state, and county grants. Prior to that, they worked as a Grants Manager at Hadley. Leif also has experience as a Development Specialist at Riveredge Nature Center and as a Science & Conservation Communications Intern at The Morton Arboretum. Leif has additionally worked as a Writing Center Tutor at the Campus Writing Center - University of Missouri and as a Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Leif's earlier experience includes serving as an Education Assistant at Missouri River Relief.

Leif Nordstrom pursued their education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, General. Leif continued their academic journey at the University of Missouri-Columbia, starting in 2016 and ending in 2018, where they earned a Master of Science - MS degree in Natural Resources Management and Policy.
