Hassan Yarow is an experienced community resource specialist currently working at the Minneapolis Public Housing Authority since July 2020, focusing on connecting residents with essential human services and collaborating with various departments to enhance service accessibility. Previously, Hassan served as a research assistant at The University of British Columbia from September 2014 to June 2018, contributing to the LLTD Project aimed at improving quality education in Dadaab Camps, Kenya. Hassan also held leadership roles at the World University Service of Canada, first as president overseeing program operations, and then as scholarship program coordinator managing scholarship funds and support for student scholars. Earlier experience includes a position as a senior child protection supervisor at Save the Children UK, where responsibilities included planning and monitoring program activities. Hassan holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental & Social Sciences from The University of British Columbia and attended Ifo Secondary School from 2005 to 2008.
