Valérie Roach has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Valérie started their career in 1993 as a Foreign Language Assistant at Myton School. From 1996 to 1998, they worked as a Teacher of French & Spanish at The Woodrush High School, where they were responsible for creating a nurturing classroom environment, developing lesson plans, marking assignments, and supporting trip organization.

In 1998, Valérie joined Comtec Translations as a Customer Services Projects Coordinator, and later became the Customer Services & Operations Supervisor from 2002 to 2004. In these roles, they supervised customer services and operations, coordinated projects, and provided support to customers and partners across Europe.

Valérie then joined Minitab in 2004 and held various roles. Valérie started as an Internal Sales Representative, contributing to software sales, attending customer visits and tradeshows, and supporting the academic market. In 2005, they were promoted to Customer & Sales Support Team Leader, where they set up and led a team, streamlined customer/sales procedures, supervised daily operations, and delivered first-class support to the sales teams. Valérie also onboarded and trained staff on the Onyx package, maintained product knowledge, and contributed to commercial software sales. Valérie eventually became the Customer Order Manager - EMEA/APAC, overseeing customer orders and reporting to the General Manager.

Throughout their career, Valérie demonstrated strong leadership skills, project management capabilities, and proficiency in various software systems, such as MS Dynamics Great Plains and Onyx. Valérie also had opportunities to proofread marketing materials, attend tradeshows and customer visits, and support the academic market.

Valérie Roach obtained a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) in 1995-1996 from The University of Warwick, with a field of study in Education. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in English from Université de Poitiers, which they attended from 1990 to 1993. In 1997, Valérie obtained a GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education) in Spanish from WCG, focusing on Spanish Language and Literature. Additionally, they hold a Certificate in Personnel Practice from CIPD, although the specific date of completion is not provided.
