Andrea Peters-Evans serves as the Chief Policy Advisor at the Ministry of Justice in New Zealand since December 2022. Previously, Andrea held various positions at Te Puni Kōkiri, including Principal Advisor and Specialist Advisor in Legal Services, while also managing Māori Heritage Policy at Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga. Andrea's extensive background includes roles as Principal Advisor at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Public Policy Consultant, Project Manager for Māori Trust Boards, Senior Adviser at the Ministry for Women, and extensive policy roles dating back to 1998 at Te Puni Kōkiri. Andrea holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts from The University of Auckland and further education from Massey University.
